Pool Rules

The pool is community property and every homeowner has a vested interest in keeping the pool and
clubhouse area in nice shape. Please help us "monitor" the pool and our rules to maintain the standards we
all desire.

1. Pool hours are 8AM to 11PM – no children under 21 years old after 9PM unless accompanied by an adult.

2. No lifeguard is present – swim at your own risk.

3. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Residents MUST be present at the pool with their guests.

5. Residents are RESPONSIBLE for their guests. The vast majority of our issues at the pool are related to non-resident guests or children. Please ensure these rules are shared with your guests and children with special emphasis on teenagers.

6. No food or glass containers allowed at the pool.

7. Be mindful that this is a community pool with young children present – "APPROPRIATE" behavior and language is expected.

8. No more than 5 guests per homeowner unless communicated in advance – this is primarily intended to prevent large groups of teenagers taking over the pool. Please contact Christy Drake with additional guest considerations.

9. Please clean up after yourself

a. If you move chairs or lounges around, put them back where you found them.
b. If you open an umbrella, close it.
c. If you use the pool toys, put them back when you are done.

10. Pool toys, floats, noodles are provided for all to enjoy – please use them as intended

a. Noodles are not weapons and pool floats are not jumping plaTorms – if you see them used as such, please discourage such behavior

11. NO SMOKING at the pool or clubhouse area – this includes the electronic vap's or E-CIGS

12. Keycard access is required to access the pool and tennis courts. No jumping the fence to gain access, this causes damage to the fence that is costly to repair. Anyone caught jumping the fence will be charged the repair costs and will lose pool privileges.

13. Additional Pool Rules are posted on the clubhouse wall

14. We reserve the right to revoke Pool privileges for any homeowner not following these rules. Our goal is to never find ourselves in a position where revoking access becomes a necessity.

Please direct any concerns with the pool, clubhouse or tennis courts to any member of our Rec Board. Cottages Rec Board members are Diane Slenk (403-9330) and Dick Schaap (393-6585) and Homeowner members are Fred Rutan (510-4938) and Scott Wright (481-7901).

Christy Johnson Drake is coordinating all clubhouse rentals, her email is christylyndrake@gmail.com and phone is 499-7799.

New keycards are available for purchase ($50) from Barb Naber naber.barb@gmail.com and 394-4357.

We appreciate your support in helping us monitor our faciliUes and ensuring they are maintained and used in a manner that meets the needs of our enUre community. Thank You!

US American Pickleball / Tennis Association Return to Play Guidelines

IF YOU PLAY:
• Adhere to safety precautions established by the CDC and the facility.
• Consider playing with only family members or others who reside in your household.
• Wash your hands with soap and water and bring personal use hand sanitizer to the courts.
• Clean and wipe down your paddles and water bottles. Do not share paddles or any other equipment or clothing.
• Bring a full personal use water bottle(s) and avoid touching or using public water fountains.
• Bring tissues or a handkerchief for contained sneezing and coughing or consider wearing a mask.
• Consider wearing gloves to the courts and avoid touching court gates, fences, benches, etc.
• Also consider wearing gloves during play to avoid picking up pickleballs with your hands.
• Use new pickleballs and a new grip or fresh tape on your paddle handle if possible.
• Coordinate with your play group so that each person serves with a different color ball. If multiple colors are not an option, use a sharpie and prominently mark personal pickleballs with your initials.
• Leave the court as soon as reasonably possible.
• Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer immediately after your match is over.
• Avoid post play socializing.
• Thoroughly wash your paddles, grips, pickleballs, towels, clothes, bags, water bottles, and other items you have used or touched.

• Are a vulnerable individual with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, or whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer and other conditions requiring such therapy.

MANAGING PLAY SESSIONS:
•  Adhere to social gathering and distancing policies according to local, state, and federal authorities. Limit your distance to six feet or more to other players.
• Avoid contact with others, such as hand shaking and high fives.
• Consider playing singles only and avoid doubles play as doubles is not conducive for six-foot
social distancing and leads to incidental contact with playing partners.
• If you do elect to play doubles, consider playing with only those who reside within your household.
• Adhere to CDC guidelines by not touching your face (after handling a ball or paddle).
• Consider using hand sanitizer between games.
• Wash your hands after each match.
• Use your paddle and foot to pick up pickleballs and transfer them to your opponent. If utilizing a raised net, hit the ball under the net to your opponent.
• Avoid changing ends of the court.
• Maintain proper social distancing from other players in between games and during time outs.
